For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following terms are defined as:
Developer / Data Controller — Bohdan Melnyk, an independent developer / sole proprietor, registered in Ukraine, responsible for providing «My Diaries - Notes & Journals» and for determining the purposes and means of processing any Personal Data, where applicable.
Mobile App — «My Diaries - Notes & Journals» mobile application and any related services provided by Developer/Data Controller.
User / You — any person who accesses, downloads, installs, or uses the Mobile App.
Personal Data / Information — any information that directly or indirectly identifies a User, such as name, email address, telephone number, IP address, device identifiers, or other information associated with an identifiable individual.
Non-Personal Data / Information — technical or usage data that does not directly identify a specific User, including aggregated analytics data, anonymized statistics, app version, operating system, and crash logs.
Processing — any operation performed on information, whether or not by automated means, including collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation, modification, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, dissemination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
Third-Party Services / Partners — external services such as analytics providers, cloud providers, payment processors, advertising networks, or other vendors integrated into the Mobile App.
Tracking Technologies / Cookies — technologies used to collect information automatically about usage of the Mobile App, including advertising identifiers and analytics tools.
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how the Developer/Data Controller collects, uses, stores, and discloses Personal Data and Non-Personal Data when a User accesses, downloads, installs, or uses the Mobile App.
By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the Mobile App, a User acknowledges that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
IF A USER DOES NOT AGREE WITH THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY, THE USER MUST NOT ACCESS, DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, OR USE THE MOBILE APP AND MUST DELETE THE MOBILE APP FROM THE USER’S DEVICE(S).
The Developer/Data Controller is committed to protecting Users’ privacy and handling data in a transparent and secure manner. This Privacy Policy explains what data may be collected, how it is used, under what circumstances it may be shared, and what rights a User has regarding their data.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Mobile App distributed via the App Store worldwide and covers all countries where the Mobile App is available. It governs the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of data by the Developer/Data Controller when a User accesses, downloads, installs, or uses the Mobile App.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to Third-Party Services or Partners that may be linked to or integrated within the Mobile App. A User is encouraged to review the privacy policies of any Third-Party Services or Partners they access.

Developer/Data Controller does not directly collect or store Personal Data through proprietary backend servers.
All content entered by a User within the Mobile App is stored locally on the User’s device and may optionally be saved to the User’s iCloud account if enabled. Developer/Data Controller does not access User content stored on the device or in iCloud.
Users retain full ownership and control over any content they create within the Mobile App. Developer/Data Controller does not claim ownership of such content and cannot access it unless explicitly shared by the User.
Personal Data may be voluntarily provided by a User when contacting the Developer/Data Controller (for example, via the "Contact Support" feature or by email). Such data is used solely to respond to the inquiry and is not used for marketing purposes.
Certain Third-Party Services integrated into the Mobile App may process limited Personal Data (such as device identifiers or IP addresses) in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Developer/Data Controller may automatically collect technical and usage data from a User’s device when the Mobile App is accessed, downloaded, installed, or used. This data may include Non-Personal Data and certain Personal Data (such as device identifiers or IP addresses) in anonymized or aggregated form.
Purposes of Data Collection:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including crash reports and system errors.
Analyze usage patterns and improve the Mobile App’s performance, user experience, and personalization.
Provide anonymized analytics for marketing, advertising, and feature optimization purposes.
Support product development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of future releases and services.
Methods of Data Collection:
Automatically, through the Mobile App’s built-in analytics and diagnostic tools.
Via Third-Party Services / Partners integrated into the Mobile App, such as analytics providers, payment processors or advertising networks.
Types of Data Collected may include, but are not limited to:
Analytics data related to how the Mobile App is used, such as features accessed, session duration, and user interaction patterns.
Log data, including access times, app events, crash reports, and system errors.
Technical information about the device, such as device model, operating system version, app version, screen resolution, language settings, approximate location (such as country or region), and device identifiers or IP addresses (considered Personal Data) in anonymized or aggregated form.
Other aggregated or anonymized data that helps Developer/Data Controller analyze trends, improve performance, and enhance the overall user experience.
Certain Personal Data, such as device identifiers or IP addresses, may be collected in anonymized or aggregated form solely for analytics, performance, and usage improvement purposes.
The Mobile App does not use browser cookies. However, certain Third-Party Services / Partners integrated into the Mobile App may use tracking technologies and device identifiers (such as advertising identifiers or similar technologies) to collect Personal Data automatically.
These technologies may be used to analyze usage patterns, measure performance, provide analytics, and support marketing or advertising activities. Users may limit or disable advertising identifiers through their device settings, which may affect certain analytics or advertising-related functionality.
Developer/Data Controller does not sell Personal Data. Non-Personal Data may be shared with certain Third-Party Services / Partners solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Mobile App. Certain Third-Party Services integrated into the Mobile App may process limited Personal Data (such as device identifiers or IP addresses) in accordance with their own privacy policies. Developer/Data Controller does not control how Third-Party Services process data; please review their respective privacy policies.
Integrated services may include:
Firebase (including Crashlytics) (Analytics and Crash Reporting)
Apple iCloud (Cloud Storage)
Apple (In-app Purchases, Payment Processing)
Qonversion (In-app Purchases, Payment Processing)
The Mobile App allows Users to contact support via the built-in mail composer. Support requests may include the email address used by the User to send the message, the message text, and any comments, descriptions of issues, or attachments provided. This information is collected solely to respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and improve the Mobile App. Any email address provided is used only for communication purposes and is not shared with third parties. Email addresses are not sold or used for unsolicited marketing.
Developer/Data Controller takes commercially reasonable measures to protect the data stored and processed through the Mobile App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Developer/Data Controller cannot guarantee absolute security and is not liable for data loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction resulting from technical failures, third-party actions, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Use of the Mobile App is at the User’s own risk.
The Mobile App is not intended for use by children under 4 years of age.
The Mobile App is not directed to children under this age and does not knowingly collect Personal Data from them.
Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of the Mobile App and ensure compliance with age restrictions.
Developer/Data Controller may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of any changes. Continued use of the Mobile App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
Depending on your location, you may have additional data protection rights:
European Union / European Economic Area (EU/EEA) Residents: You have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete your Personal Data, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. United States Residents:
California Residents: You have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to request access to Personal Data collected, request deletion of Personal Data, and opt out of the sale of Personal Data.

Canada Residents: You have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your Personal Data. Contact Developer/Data Controller to exercise these rights.
Ukraine Residents: You have rights under the Ukrainian Law on Personal Data Protection, including the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict the processing of your Personal Data. Contact Developer/Data Controller to exercise these rights.

Although Developer/Data Controller does not directly collect Personal Data, Users may contact Developer/Data Controller regarding any privacy-related requests.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to products or services offered by third parties. The Mobile App may include, depending on which features you use, third-party products or services, such as analytics providers, advertising networks, payment processors, SDKs, APIs, or links to third-party websites. Third parties may collect Non-Personal Data and limited Personal Data (such as device identifiers or IP addresses) or other information when you interact with their products or services.
We strongly encourage Users to review the privacy policies of any third-party services or websites they access. Developer/Data Controller is not responsible for and cannot control how third parties use information they collect from you. This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party websites, products, or services that may be linked to or integrated within the Mobile App.
